Re: Inappropriate 'Reviews' & How to Remove them? |
That's been suggested before. The problem with it that some people get click-happy and "report" anything they don't like, and admins don't always take the time to review what they are removing. On one site I frequently post at the rule is "five clicks and it's gone," with no explanation. I've had several posts removed under that rule.

Re: Inappropriate 'Reviews' & How to Remove them? |
I'm referring to a fairly popular news site (seattletimes.com), and they're dealing with thousands of posts daily. I don't agree with their rule, but they aren't really obligated to run their site democratically. I have to admit, it
is fairly effective against spam. I don't know that the trade-off is worth it.

The trade off is definitely not worth it .
It seems like a packaged deal ; near complete freedom of lawful speech , with the spammers and trolls . I wish it could be another way .
